I'll be back with an Asics Nimbus Unfortunately a few versions ago they lost their fit and cushioning at some point (I see version 19 here) so I've switched to other brands (New Balance, Hoka One One and Brooks). Reviews here and elsewhere state that this updated model has been improved (as before) with a wider toe box, wider fit across the body and improved cushioning. I am happy to report that they deliver as promised. The gel insert has always been my favorite feature at ASICS and no foam can replicate the energy it provides. I average 50 highway miles a week and try to switch shoes with some of the most cushioned shoes I have, but now I keep going back to them as my everyday shoes. I only use them for running and tracking my mileage. I typically run 300-500 miles in running shoes before they lose their useful cushioning and then I throw them out. I let my body tell me when it's time. The first signs of pain in my knees, hips or back and I know it's time to break in a new pair. I rode 400 miles on this pair and my second pair of 350s. Anyway, I just bought another pair because they were $30 cheaper and this model especially for me works and feels natural. My only minor complaint, as with most running shoes, is that I go for the wide 2Es and colors are always limited in the wide sizes.
