22 Special: Road Running

First halo since the 18th that's special. I'm happy to throw away my worn out 21. I also bought every number from 18 and up until 22 nothing was exceptionally good. Great support and very comfortable.

The best running shoes I've ever had.

I've been a big Nimbus fan for years and own the 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 models. The Nimbus 22 is the most comfortable model to date. It has the best cushioning and comfort compared to previous models. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed.

Great sneakers but sizing is a bit tight

I loved the Gel-Nimbus 18 but was disappointed with the 19, 20 and 21. I chose the 22, it turns out they are about as well half a size was small. Sent back, got a half size up, very satisfied now. More space up front and the well-known gel-like comfort.

Not with your money. Buy another Asics model.

Too expensive for what you get. I also have an Asics Quantum 180 4. The Quantum 180 4 fits better and is more comfortable than the Nimbus 22. Also, I bought the Quantum 180 4 a lot cheaper at around $50 while this one cost me $150. Big difference and not worth it. My thumb kept tapping the tip. I bought the same size as my other Asics running shoes. But this thing appears to be higher at the heel and lower at the toe. This way your feet slide towards the front of the shoe. Not a good design.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Best Nimbus for 18 years

I have been a regular Asics customer for a number of years. I have a wide foot and need something to pronate so I buy Nimbus and Cumulus. I've been a bit disappointed with every Nimbus since the 18th which has been my favorite so far so good I've had 3 of these. The 19th was bad, the 20th was normal, the 21st was decent. The 22nds are excellent, they've been my favorites since the 18th. They're a little smaller, like the 19s, but after they blow apart they'll be like gloves. The heel pads are…

spring loaded; invisible arc; Great Looking

If you're like me you've seen this Gel Nimbus on other feet for years and it looks better than any other running shoe. But if you're like me too, maybe you're old school and resisted, thinking that ASICS is probably putting on a pure show. With a minimum price threshold of less than $100, I finally gave up and am hooked. Observations: (1) Without exaggeration, this Gel-Nimbus 22 feels light and springy: the cushioning and rebound on pavement hits is wonderful. (2)Mesh fabric perforations…

Reports are correct, Nimbus is up and running again.

I'll be back with an Asics Nimbus Unfortunately a few versions ago they lost their fit and cushioning at some point (I see version 19 here) so I've switched to other brands (New Balance, Hoka One One and Brooks). Reviews here and elsewhere state that this updated model has been improved (as before) with a wider toe box, wider fit across the body and improved cushioning. I am happy to report that they deliver as promised. The gel insert has always been my favorite feature at ASICS and no foam…

These shoes have become iconic for a reason!

I've driven a few hundred miles on these Nimbus 22's and they are as good if not better than previous Nimbus versions I've had (latest version was 14). I read many reviews before purchasing this version and honestly it looks like dedicated Nimbus runners have split this version of the shoe 50/50. Some people LOVE them because they are similar or better than previous versions of the Nimbus, others swear the Nimbus shoes have gone downhill since the 17/18 version. I personally have had 3 pairs of
