My 99 Taco has the hood rubbing against it. I patted the edge a bit and added some styrofoam tape to protect it. I don't trust the thermostat in the truck, Sony added a scan sensor and this. 5vz-fe aluminum heads don't like to get hot. I'm always in the Arizona and Nevada desert so it's important to keep an eye on things. I keep the Toyota cover in spares just in case. I will update if anything changes.
