MB main dealer offered me over $400 to replace a daytime running light. The OEM part (one side) was almost $300. I paid $35 for two here so I was a bit skeptical but thought it was a cheap game. I'm glad I took the risk. The parts are identical to the OEM parts (just missing the three-pointed star), and installation was straightforward - only a torx bit is needed, and most major tool kits have it. To show how easy the exchange is, I timed the exercise; After a single confusing step, the second light took less than 3.5 minutes - including removing the old unit, unboxing the second and completing the installation. Learning the method used to remove the cable clamp was the only thing that made the whole operation take no less than ten minutes - I recommend watching one of the many YouTube videos on this. It's hard to understand where the $100+ work I've cited comes from - I'd love to see 'Book Time'.
