Review on 🏃 ASICS Gel Excite Metropolis Trail Running Shoes for Men by Matthew Oumer

I bought these from another seller but as an ASICS fan I wanted to share my opinion. It's pretty much a Venture 8 with a different "foam" outsole. At the same time, they continue to follow the trend of reducing strength in favor of lightness. A good indicator are branded stripes on the sides of the shoe. They used to look like a staple on the Trailrunner Venture 5 and (my favourite) Kahana 8. Now they seem like just a "badge" taped on for looks. My heavier kahanas feel like anvils while still providing excellent cushioning and stability. They're just not there, and the Venture 6 model has the same problem: there just isn't enough cushioning despite being so thick. In my opinion, the gel over the "foam" is better. Grab a Venture 5 or Kahana 8 (if you can find them) to see what trail shoes should be. Robust, comfortable and a true all-terrain vehicle.
