    Great comfort, terrible durability

    First I liked the shoes as they were and are very comfortable. But less than a year later, the fabric on the outside of the sock began to tear. I haven't even met them that often! Not to mention the many trails. I wore them mostly as weekend/casual shoes. Very disappointed with the durability and quick compression of the sole. :(

    Great shoes: my review

    The shoes are true to size. They are light and comfortable and I was able to run and work out straight away without breaking them in.

    The insoles are what I need

    It's not cheap, cheaply made, but the tongue feels like you can't pull hard or it might snap, it's been a few weeks and it hasn't happened. I usually wear wide and 10.5 in men's shoes. It's 10 and not wide and it feels great even with insoles. I run all day and need insoles. I love the color and I bought this brand for twice the normal shoe store price and they bet the price in store. So for me it's worth it.

    Turns out 1/2 size smaller

    Overall I am very happy with the shoes. Next time I will order 1/2 size larger. They feel good but could use a little more length.

    Not very impressive

    I bought these from another seller but as an ASICS fan I wanted to share my opinion. It's pretty much a Venture 8 with a different "foam" outsole. At the same time, they continue to follow the trend of reducing strength in favor of lightness. A good indicator are branded stripes on the sides of the shoe. They used to look like a staple on the Trailrunner Venture 5 and (my favourite) Kahana 8. Now they seem like just a "badge" taped on for looks. My heavier kahanas feel like anvils while still…

    the only problems in my review.

    1 month after receiving these shoes and about 3 weeks of wearing them, there is a silver dollar sized piece in the center of the sole/tread that is 3/4 ripped off. Not very good quality.

    Good cushioning for the feet!

    My husband liked it. He needs heel support and he has it. He has used ASICS before and has always been happy with it. We go camping and he likes to use them.

    The best shoes! in my opinion

    I've been using Asics shoes for a number of years and this pair has been the best so far. After trying the Excite Trail Gel, I immediately ordered another pair, but in a different color. Great cushioning, perfect for my job as a guide.

    Love it! Bought second pair

    I've been using these shoes for trail running and hiking in the Smoky Mountains and Blue Ridge for about a year. Excellent traction, comfortable and durable. A year later they still look like new. I just bought a second pair... and will probably buy more. It took me about 30 days to receive Revain/Zappos but it was worth the wait. Just plan accordingly.

    It used to be possible to order Asics my size and the fit/support would be there. Now I need to explore the design layers. I can't return the shoes after 1 week of trying them on, but from day 2 it was obvious that the sole is so light it looks worn like my 2 year old pair. That's right. Ball of foot + heel had that "piercing" feel.
