The original version was a nice putty and nicely wrapped in the hooves. This version was so fluid that it was extremely difficult to keep up. I had to use a lot of shavings to stuff my hooves and they were so sticky and dirty. I had a terrible cleaning of unwanted areas. Other than that, this stuff is a miracle and works like a charm! My horses have been struggling with a persistent abscess for a week and this has helped him get rid of that pain. Within 12 hours he was well. He also had a few instances of tenderness in the same foot, but I put everything away immediately and he was ready to walk the next day without developing an abscess. First aid kit - but I think if I buy this again I'll go back to the original as I like the consistency better. The path is less dirty.
