I love this rug! This is exactly what I wanted for our 2 month old (although I wish the pink version had been available when I bought it). The bird at the top constantly plays music or motion sensor and lights up - my little daughter loves to look at it and laugh. She also enjoys looking at herself in the mirror which I keep low on a pole so it can be placed on the floor to keep it in one place. The deer can be pulled down and then pulled back in, which will be cool if she can pull it on her own (still working on the handle at the moment). Deer legs are great for grasping practice - they're made of rope with knots at the bottom. The rug has two flaps that crease and are made of velvet material. They're in the perfect spot for her to touch as she moves. I like that most of the three out of five toys are soft. The carpet is the perfect thickness. not too thin and not too soft for safety. Haven't washed it yet but looks like it can be machine washed. The assembly was really easy. Simply insert the rods into the buttons at each end. Not good for storage but I plan on storing ours forever until she needs them again and then I'll just put a rubber band across the bars to hold the ends together like they're for storage until our next baby packed up. The only downside is that I wish the bird motion sensor was more sensitive so it doesn't have to work as hard to make noise/light up. I highly recommend this rug after days of trying to decide on one!
