Panda vs. Nina Soft

The first car arrived and wouldn't even start. not a great start. Sent back for exchange. The second machine wrung out the laundry and it came out completely dry - great! We liked that it had a five-minute auto shutoff, but never needed it as our clothes were pretty dry beforehand. What's also great is that it has a stainless steel drum. HOWEVER, we bought Nina Soft from Laundry Alternative and brought back Panda. Compared to the Nina, the Panda's construction didn't seem very durable to us - the clear shell was flimsy and dangled. We figured it might break when it first struck. We planned to store the machine under a shelf and had to leave the door half open between uses for ventilation. Panda's door was either open or closed - there was no spring holding it half open like Nina's. The machine's on/off switch seemed to break first. The spout is quite low and it was hard to find a container that was low but big enough to hold all the water pouring out of the clothes. This machine doesn't have pins (or whatever you call them!) that you can use to wrap the cord for storage. The stainless steel exterior looked dirty after you took it out of the box - you definitely need to wipe it down all the time. There was a feeling that it is pressed and scratched very easily. Yes, it wrung our clothes *slightly* drier than the Nina (Panda is 3200rpm vs 1800rpm on the Nina), but overall the machine didn't have the solid quality features that made us feel like it was very would last long. ! We also felt more confident with Nina because she has a three-year warranty, while Panda only has one year (as far as we know, anyway! That information wasn't easy to find). And if you're interested in overall size - they're usually the same size - Panda is slightly taller, but Nina is slightly wider at the base. How different is the Panda's 22-pound cargo capacity from the Nina's 12-pound capacity? I thought it would be a lot but it was only two medium sized men's Hanes t-shirts or a women's size 32 jean - not much! Definitely choose Nina - a much better design! I definitely don't get paid to promote Nina Soft - I couldn't find a comparison online and had to trawl through hundreds of questions and reviews to find the information I was looking for. I hope this review is helpful to anyone trying to decide between the two!
