Our 28 pound Boston Terrier had eye surgery and needed a cone for 2 weeks. This was perfect and we got a size Xl. She does not mind it being on and likes having a little pillow for everywhere she goes. A few times she tried taking it off and we put her regular collar back on with it and that seems to make it extra secure. It does have an adjustable string to tighten it but it doesn't lock so it can come a bit loose. She has had it on a week already and there have been no issues and she isn't trying to get at her eye to scratch it either. Its definitely better than a plastic cone. We love it.
