I got this from Revain Vine and thought I'd try to keep a ham radio faceplate in my jeep. When using the supplied metal plate, the magnet is strong enough. It holds my faceplate well and makes it easy to remove so it doesn't get stolen when the cover is off. The suction cup works well, I had no problems losing suction. I usually only have problems with suction cups in summer when it gets really hot. I'll update this in a while if there are any issues. Edit: OK, the suction cup is ridiculously strong because it has a sticky substance in addition to suction, which I think is good if you don't have to take it off often. The only problem I have is the small metal plate. It stuck very well to the magnet, but the glue attaching it to my faceplate didn't hold and the faceplate kept peeling off. This is particularly odd since the front panel is very light. It's much lighter than a phone.
