I love using them but only on hot Southern California summer days, they are noticeably straighter off the rider and irons and work the same way as soft flies. They're still very soft - there's nothing softer than Softfli at 35 compression, but they're soft and springy. I have 10 hdcp and my distance off shot is 230. I lose 15 yards using a premium urethane ball and I have used Gamer before but found it too harsh for soft shots. I stopped using the premium urethanes mainly because of the distance loss and also because they turn sideways too easily. but they stay in place or give little on long irons. In fact, this is a plus for my game, but you are the judge. The only downside is that I lose about 5 yards on the drive compared to the softfli when I hit both straight, but they are easier to hit straight than the softfli. Also, they are heavier when it gets cold, so I use softfli in winter and straightfli in summer. They're very similar, so it's not too much of an adjustment.
