I have several external USB drives from different companies and with different speeds. I was so happy to get this drive which promises transfer speeds of up to 1000MB/s and when I plugged it into my PC and tried to copy some files I was shocked to see that the copy speed from my NVMe M was almost 30 MB /With . .2 hard drive. I've tried copying different types of files - photos, videos, movies, etc. The results are the same. To make sure the drive and not the USB port was the problem, I tried copying the same files to my Samsung T5. I got my typical speeds of 250-500MB/s with the T5. As a last resort, this Sabrent drive was tested with Crystal Diskmark software, and the software didn't exceed 40 MB/s at best. The 4K random read speed was only 18.65 MB/s. It doesn't take a genius to guess that I promptly arranged for this unit to be returned. I'm not sure I would choose this brand again.
