I don’t presume to say that it was assembled in Japan, but I can say with 110 percent confidence that it is made with the highest quality, and is in no way inferior to Japanese models, the choice of which was huge in the 90s, therefore, just believe me, I know a lot about players. The player is very compact and thin, thanks to the use of flat batteries (and such elements, by the way, have always been used only in top models of equipment) and the display transferred from the case to the remote control. In fact, it is almost two times thinner than a standard player on finger batteries. Top build quality, nothing to complain about at all, plus a metal cover. The sound is also just super, even with standard headphones from the kit, and if you take something more serious, then I think the sound will suit anyone.
