Review on ๐Ÿšช Maxpow 2Pcs Lift Supports Struts for Odyssey 2005-2010 Tailgate Trunk Liftgate by Larry Boyd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Use a flat head screwdriver to remove the old ones. A tall ladder (if working alone) or a stool to stand on to stay open.

Survive My Van! Can be done alone with one hand in daylight if you are tall enough to hold the gate open with one hand and use the other for removal/installation. My experience: We did this in our very dark parking lot with a portable flashlight. My 255,000 mile Honda Oddessy is completely broken. The gate is very heavy. The 14-year-old daughter stood on the children's stool to hold the grid fully open with one hand and light the flashlight with the other hand. I pulled out the old ones (flat head) and snapped the new ones in place. It looked so easy back then that my daughter really wanted to do the 2nd one. She removed the old one and put in the new one. It's so easy, you can see it once and just make it yourself! Before going outside I watched a video on You Tube which helped because I had no idea how to do it. Also, I've heard complaints that it's difficult to close. It takes muscle, but I'm also a 5ft 2in female and 105lbs. I can do it. It outweighs the risk of him hitting my head and not using my suitcase unless I have a second person to support him. They will be durable and of high quality. I think it's more of an effort to shut my van's gate than punches! It would be good for any strong capable body. Can be difficult for short stature if someone has cerebral palsy, arthritis or muscle/bone problems. But again, I believe that due to the weight of the gate, this product is not. Also for safety reasons I think it is necessary to be careful that it does not lower slowly due to the weight.
