No matter how you adjust, the plate will always cover at least part of the central passenger parking sensors. Turns on parking sensors when driving less than "x" miles per hour. Drilling your own new hole seems to solve the problem. However, be aware that this may not be the best solution for you if you have parking sensors. By the way, I have a 2015 BMW 428i convertible. It wouldn't hurt if the post it attaches to was a bit shorter so the plate doesn't protrude that far out of the bumper.
