Review on MuHize Mini Fuse Tap: 12V Blade Fuse Holder & Add-a-Circuit Adapter with 15 Amp Mini ATM APM Blade Fuse (5 Pack) by Wendell Chapman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent fit but very very cramped fuse slots

Vehicle: 2005 Subaru Outback Limited (H4 Automatic) Note: They come with 15A fuses I have a USB powered DVR 2.0 installed which does not once the full 1A was enough, so I changed the mini fuses to 5A. I don't think Muhiz offers that combination. However, 5A fuses are cheap. This is mainly to protect the long DVR power cord which can probably draw 15 amps, but I saw no reason to risk that. The taps fit very well in the fuse box, even the fuses on the taps fit over the adjacent mini fuses. They fit in the fuse box fairly easily, although the 2005 Outback has plenty of room to work. The attached wire is flexible, easy to work with and well soldered. However, the fuse sockets are very narrow, even narrower than most fuse sockets. I tried two different brands of fuses and they were difficult to insert, I had to achieve a kind of rocking motion, alternating back and forth with one foot then the other a bit until the fuse was in place. . It was the same for both pairs of slots, so I bent a few fuses in the process. Adjustable pliers didn't help much, I had to grab the fuse tap and use it to push the fuse back onto the hard vinyl on the car door. However, they fit well and lasted several weeks so I can't complain. Of course I would rather have the distance too tight than too loose. would recommend.
