This cap is not a genuine Canon lens cap. I bought this for my Canon 200 f=2.8L lens to replace a genuine Canon cap that I had lost. It's not as well made, but it fits quite well, but not as well as the original. I don't know how they use the Canon name and don't get criticism from Canon. When I bought this I thought it was a genuine Canon cap. I give it three stars and it's generous. I've been a photographer for over 30 years. If you can afford it, but a real canon
