Bubble Hot Shoe Cap works great as an equalizer and covers the hot shoe when the flash is not attached. One reviewer reports that it hangs over the back edge of the camera body. Mine isn't straight. Since it's a rubber compound that allows it to stay in place and not accidentally come loose, it probably needs to be pushed forward a bit to make sure the little guides are in the grooves. That sounds more complicated than it really is. Install it properly once, and removing and reinstalling it won't be difficult. Great product, worth it and doesn't cost that much money. If you want your photos to look more professional than amateur photos, mount your camera at the same height on both axes so your verticals are straight. Something is wrong with walls or buildings that fall in the middle or lean too far, like the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
