Innovative, circular design that takes up less space compared the typical, cumbersome 2-axis or 3-axis levels. Protect your hot shoe from getting bent or damaged. This hot shoe cover helps the hot shoe dry and clean. Slides into your hot shoe, remains unobtrusive. The cover only protects the hot shoe, not the support of the pop-up flash. Fits securely over the hot shoe. Has a Rubber surface for better handling. Note: It is not compatible with Sony FA-SHC1AM/S. Compatible with Sony A3000, A3500, A58, A6000, A6100, A6300, A6400, A6500, A6600, A68, A7, A7 II, A7 III, A7R, A7R II, A7R III, A7R IV, A7S, A7S II III, A9, A9 II, A99 II, A1 DSC-HX400, DSC-HX400V, DSC-HX50, DSC-HX50V, DSC-HX60, DSC-HX60V, DSC-RX10 V, DSC-RX10 IV, DSC-RX10 III, DSC-RX10 II, DSC-RX1R, DSC-RX1R II.

Fits like a glove and looks OEM.

Foto&Tech 2 in 1 hot shoe cover used with my Sony A6000. Works and fits like a glove, as the new A6 camera doesn't have a built in equalizer this addon comes in very handy! Full balance up and down and side to side. The material is softer/rubberized to fit snugly on the hot shoe, but the core of the equalizer is hard plastic.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Finish
Cons
  • No Gun

It's an inexpensive and easy way to use that space.

I'm a travel photographer. I don't use flash, so my shoe is always empty on my Sony a7ria. It's a cheap and easy way to take advantage of this point on your camera. It doesn't fit "perfectly" and I'm pretty sure it might fall out one day and I'll lose it, but it's a cheap and easy way to get some added value.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not the best

Not quite right - Accessories

Returned. On the plus side, the level seems good and it's not going to come out on its own. However, the lid can only be inserted from one side because the other side is closed. It would be nice if the "tracks" were long enough. It's not like this. That means you only covered part of the hot shoe; or you force this thing into the past where it should and the rubber gets distorted at the other end. I don't know if this affects the accuracy of the level, but it looks a little sloppy in my…

  • Great design

Great product at a great price.

For those who have a Sony a6000 - or just need a thin bubble level that fits perfectly in a hot shoe - this is for you. It's a very low profile and gets the job done without getting in the way of the profile and/or camera bag - and being a simple spirit level it's pretty reliable too. The rubber that keeps the level in the hot shoe is non-slip rubber, so it stays in place until you decide to take it off, rather than loosening and falling out when you least expect it. Highly recommended!

Makes my camera compact.

I like this because it's cheap and doesn't bulge out of the camera like the 3D cubic equivalent of this type of cover. I just wanted something that would cover that hot shoe and also help me line up my camera quickly when using video or taking a picture and relying on the LCD screen, which I often do. You should note that while this is for those looking at the top of the camera to check if it's level before taking the shot (which I often do handheld or on a tripod), you can't align the bubble…

  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Ideal for real estate photography.

I rent out a property and this little guy does a GREAT job. For some reason the bubble level in my tripod is not accurate. So I mount it on a hot shoe on top of my Sony a6000 and can make sure my shots are level so any vertical lines in the frame don't move around the edges of the scene. The only downside is that once you get addicted to it, you have to get other gear purchases right. For example, the Yongnuo YN-560TX Trigger hangs directly in the air without a second flash shoe on top. I use…

Pros
  • Hands-free work
Cons
  • Very expensive

Inexpensive but huge benefits

Bubble Hot Shoe Cap works great as an equalizer and covers the hot shoe when the flash is not attached. One reviewer reports that it hangs over the back edge of the camera body. Mine isn't straight. Since it's a rubber compound that allows it to stay in place and not accidentally come loose, it probably needs to be pushed forward a bit to make sure the little guides are in the grooves. That sounds more complicated than it really is. Install it properly once, and removing and reinstalling it…

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

I wanted to love it, but you have to force it on a hot shoe.

, I thought this would be a really great product that protects my hot shoe and has an extra function (stage). Turns out I never use a bubble level, instead I enabled grids on the camera screen to align shots. However, since its primary purpose is a hot shoe cover, it wouldn't lose a star for a feature I haven't personally used. If he loses a star instead, he becomes the Hot Shoe. Basically you have to force it into the hotshoe and don't know if you'll damage the shoe long-term (i.e. loosen the…

Essential accessory for a6000

I recently bought a Sony a6000 and was a bit dismayed to see exposed contacts on the hot shoe mount. I ordered a hot shoe cover from FotoTech. Pros: Durable rubber construction. The FotoTech cover stretches and flexes slightly, but feels solid and I'm not worried about it tearing when I put it on or take it off the camera. The FotoTech cap snaps directly into the hot shoe mount slots. Even. The level is actually a very good addition. While it doesn't bring much utility, it looks pretty cool…
