I like this because it's cheap and doesn't bulge out of the camera like the 3D cubic equivalent of this type of cover. I just wanted something that would cover that hot shoe and also help me line up my camera quickly when using video or taking a picture and relying on the LCD screen, which I often do. You need a 3D cube version sticking out of the camera, which you need to take off when you put the camera in your bag, as it can catch on objects and possibly damage something.
