I have 2 lizards, 1 bearded dragon (7 years old) and 1 gecko (8 years old). My other bearded dragon died about a month ago at the age of 10 (lifespan 8-10 years) and I have always fed her calcium dust crickets and fruits and vegetables. Basically, before you feed your lizard (or lizards), you lightly dust the crickets with some calcium powder and then feed them to your reptile for an extra nutrient boost. Calcium is good for your lizard's nerve function and bone growth, helping it live a long and healthy life. I feed them fruit or veg every day and then calcium sprinkled crickets once a week. A word of advice, try not to put too much powder on the crickets as this will weigh them down and make it difficult for them to move. My only complaint is that I wish there was a strainer on top of the ReptoCal bottle to keep the powder from spilling over.
