Switch and forget! Works perfectly.
First remove the door panel. From that point on, installation was pretty easy. I found removing the left side window rail made removal much easier. It might have been possible without removing this step, but removing the window film made a world of difference. Be sure to note how the various bars you need to remove are connected. This makes the reinstallation much easier. I tried locking the door multiple times before closing everything again and the unit locked/unlocked as before. You can do it!
