Review on 🔍 Pursuit Side View Mirror for Diverse Range of UTVs (Fits 1.75" Round Tube) by Jeremy Floyd

I really want to like these mirrors. They are highly rated on several websites. The warranty is great and that's the main reason I kept my mirrors. They look really good (not installed) and are pretty sturdy. Mounts are fun. I ordered 1.75" thinking they would fit snugly in the roll bar but they are just oversized clips with rubber inserts. not what i expected. I wanted to mount them low on the roll cage, but the angle of the clips made the mirrors point at a forty-five degree angle to the ground and looked awful, not to mention I couldn't see anything behind me in that position. Mounting mirrors in the middle of the bars was inconvenient for entry and exit reasons, so I just had to mount them high. In this position, the mirrors - in the wrong place - don't give a good view, unless I just want to see the rear quarter panel and some rear-end distortion. Better than nothing, but they just don't allow for fine-tuning. I can't even see my rear wheels (for tight parking), although the mirrors look down more than I'd like. After installing these mirrors, I have a lot more respect for the engineers who design car mirrors, as a wide viewing angle is a valuable asset for visual acuity and spatial perception. To make these mirrors useful, it would be great if, instead of bar clamps, the company offered roll bar mounting plates that bolt on with existing roll bar mounting bolts, as the company is proposing for another brand of UTV. I believe a person could get a much better rear view and offer a much better rigid mount. I'm just not impressed with mirrors based solely on clip area and field of view. If I were to rate the build quality, materials and warranty I would give it a much higher rating but that hasn't happened so far, three stars is generous.
