Before buying these Gosky Eagle View binoculars I looked at the binoculars very carefully. They had the same prism features and components as $450-$500 devices sold by big brands (Nikon Monarch 7, Vortex Viper). I even compared them to several other ED prism binoculars that were significantly more expensive. I couldn't tell any difference in performance or build quality. Goskys were slightly lighter (magnalium vs. magnesium). From what I've read, magnesium alloy is very strong yet light (95% aluminum/5% magnesium). I have observed ducks and herons from 10-75 meters away. I looked at snow capped Mounts Hood and Rainer 75 to 100 miles away. I could see incredible details! Everything was sharp and detailed, with no blurry edges or chromatic aberrations. I really thought there must be something wrong for them to be so cheap. Maybe because it's made in China? nope More expensive models were also made in China. Maybe materials? nope Maybe a focus wheel? nope line of sight? nope! Gosky binoculars are reliable! Tight, accurate and fast focusing. They were 1-1.5 inches longer than others I tested. This is the only downside. but without taking into account that they are 50-75 percent cheaper than other analogues. I will keep them because they work and are built to last.
