Review on 🔒 Dorman 746-014 Door Lock Actuator Motor for Specific Models, Jet Black by Uriel Arocha

Installation didn't go bad if you have a rivet gun and are nimble hands. It only took about 20 minutes per door. I had to remove the brackets from my original actuators - as others have pointed out, but otherwise the installation was easy. I bought three of these for my 1999 Tahoe, two for the front doors and one for the rear barn door, the rear passenger doors still worked perfectly. The door rivets were much larger than the rivets supplied, the rivets supplied were too small for the holes in the doors. I went to Home Depot and they didn't have the right size rivets either, so I bought zinc plated screws and wing nuts to match the holes in the door. The wing nuts made it easier to thread in such a tight spot. The rivets were the right size for the other doors on the truck, so apparently only the rear barn doors need your choice of larger rivet or nut and bolt. if you need it for that. Overall I'm satisfied, it's great that my doors are closing and opening as intended again.
