The bracket didn't even come close to fitting my truck door. It is not possible to use the factory mount instead of the standard mount. The supplied C-clamps do not match the factory mounting screws. The included mounting bracket did not match the angles of the factory bracket, so it cannot be properly aligned without bending the included bracket. It wasn't a straight fit. It didn't fit my '84 blazer as advertised. My problem is in no way related to the seller of this product, the problem lies…

Not an easy task. but also feasible for do-it-yourselfers.

Fits Exactly. a little problem. The mounting pin for the bracket was not quite in the correct position. I drilled the mounting hole to 13/32" and it fit right. Loosening the mounting bolts can cause the motor to fall off. It's in your hands if you mount any bracket and fits right OR left in the amazing GM listing. So check it out I put 2 in my 86 K5 Blazer both with the same parts both left and right also one in my 2000 Chevy Astro Amazing! I always try to reuse original clips This is a quality

Dorman Door Lock Actuator 746-014

I installed a Dorman 746-014 Door Lock Actuator on a 1985 Chevy Camaro. The original driver's door actuator failed so I replaced the driver's door actuator and also installed a Crimestopper SP-402. I relocated the original Camaro mounting bracket to this Dorman drive. The rivets that came with the Dorman drive were too small and short to fit the holes in the Camaro. Luckily I have a good supply of rivets and spacers to work with. I found a good combination of rivets and spacers and securely…

Pros
  • Ideal for small homes
Cons

Not suitable for Astro.

Replaced both drive doors on his Astro. One has clearly been replaced before, the other appears to be OEM. I used the supplied nutplates (set on the tin nutplates) as the rivets provided were too small to use. They caused the drive to block the window regulator. Poorly. I had to use a nut/bolt/washer combination. Also pull the door leaf away from the window (at the location of the drive). Use a large heavy duty washer on the inside (van) of the door; Use an equal or smaller shim in the [door…

Correct part for a 2000 GMC Safari but lacked hardware.

Worked on the drivers side of a 2000 GMC Safari. Very difficult to replace without special tools. The included installation hardware is not enough to complete the task. The old drive is riveted and needs to be turned or cut with an angle grinder or similar. Don't attempt this replacement unless you have access to good tools. The new actuator comes with a mounting bracket that can be used to mount it on the driver or passenger door, but the actuator will need to be partially disassembled to…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Almost OK

Works great in my 99 Tahoe

Installation didn't go bad if you have a rivet gun and are nimble hands. It only took about 20 minutes per door. I had to remove the brackets from my original actuators - as others have pointed out, but otherwise the installation was easy. I bought three of these for my 1999 Tahoe, two for the front doors and one for the rear barn door, the rear passenger doors still worked perfectly. The door rivets were much larger than the rivets supplied, the rivets supplied were too small for the holes in…

Spend more get a better product

I myself installed two parts of this number on a 2001 Safari SLT 7 passenger van. One on the passenger door and one on the driver's door. They look great and fit perfectly. When I tested them they were very noisy, banging on the bar to lock and unlock the doors. I checked my work and didn't find anything extra that would cause excessive noise. Fastened the door panel with all new fasteners and got on with my life. About a year later, the driver's door lock motor stopped working without even…

Good value for money $

The drive arrived overnight which was a very pleasant surprise when I ordered it. Installed on the passenger door of a 2005 Chevrolet Astro Van. installed on the drive, since it is universally configured for the built-in door. I think that's brilliant because it reduces the products that are somewhere on the shelf. Yes, you have to remove four nuts and four screws, I didn't find it impractical myself like others did. If you don't want to deal with that, you can pay more for a Delco air…
