They're already quite stiff while they are, but they're better for cleaning about halfway down. Unlike other Weller products, these brushes are inexpensive and of high quality. I've seen absolutely zero dropouts when using them. You get 25 brushes for $16. Each brush is only 0.64 cents and that's a steal! These brushes have met and exceeded my expectations for quality and price.
