Excellent collar and grip came in handy. I let my dog be petted but he can get a little nervous so a pen really comes in handy. I haven't had any breakage problems but my dog is not that big, 70# and 25 inches tall, she is a mixed breed. So even though he's strong, Shepard isn't strong or Pitbull is strong. The ONLY real complaint is that I have a hard time fitting the trackers to my dog due to their thickness in width and depth. Now that I've said it, the other complaint is that it's a bit of a hassle to fine-tune this collar for your dog, which is good and bad. That means it will hold its own, but getting there is a real must. There are so many different things to adjust and there's velcro everywhere so that's a struggle too.
