This chin guard is much larger and stiffer than the regular type that comes with most helmets. It is impossible to put on or take off the helmet without almost completely removing the curtain. Most chin curtains make this easy. This works well if your main goal is to warm your face, but it's still uncomfortable. A tortoiseshell works MUCH better for keeping your face and head warm on cold days. If you ride in the cold, you need it.
