Review on 🚗 EBC Brakes DP71616: Unleash the Power of 7000 Series Greenstuff SUV Supreme Compound Brake Pad by Mike Wieneke

I bought these brake pads after reading many reviews. I was moving to an area where I would drive more in the city and decided that my Ford Escape should have as much stopping power as I could give it. I was torn between these pads and the Hawk pads, but ended up going with these. Some comments: 1) I really like the look. You hardly notice them except for a small green area visible through the caliper (but barely noticeable) 2) Once you break them in they stop the car very well, better than stock pads ever did 3) After 3,000km my pads were squeaking still several times a day. It's not normal, but they've been known to squeak during the first 500 miles of break-in as the special coating wears down on your rotors. I contacted EBC, who responded promptly asking me to confirm the presence of anti-squeak pads. After I confirmed they sent a replacement set which helped. If you have doubts about these pads, I recommend them. The ability to stop just a few feet short can mean the difference between an accident and safety.
