Review on Effortless and Hands-Free Operation: Farberware Automatic Can Opener Takes the Hassle Out of Opening Cans by Andrew Frison

So easy for arthritic hands we send to friends

love that it's fully automatic and so easy to use. After years of using my hands for everything from computers to shops, using this design of portable can opener was a pain in the ass. It took forever to open cans of dog and cat food for daily feeding and large cans were out of the question my wife had to ask. I had some doubts, believe me, and they got worse when I opened the battery compartment. It only took two AA batteries to find it. Will this thing have what it takes to open cans and move on without burning out batteries like crazy? A year later I can say "Yes!". it does just that and keeps working. I use rechargeable lithium batteries (got them and a couple of chargers here at Revain) and they last so long I have to remind myself to replace them. There are NO problems with him either, he just keeps working and working. It's going so well we're buying more to send to friends and family to help with their aging hands. And also buy a spare part. The woman is now also a convert. She thought it was silly at first, but once she noticed how cleanly the lids came off and how little dirt was left in the dog and cat food jars, she switched to using it too. Do yourself a very, very big favor and buy it. . You will love it!
