Review on πŸš— Ford Mustang 1999-2004: Rear Third Brake LED Light Replacement (Red) by Paul Walton

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Installation was not easy and quick

Firstly, it looks very elegant on my black mustang because of the tinted lenses. It's all downhill here. The package is not the best as others have said. You reuse your old wiring harness and connect the LED connectors to the old wiring harness. Reverse polarity worked for me the first time except for one, just unplug and rotate 180 degrees. Also, the brackets you screw the connector plugs into aren't exactly "clocked" (2 forks point at 3 o'clock and 2 point at 6 o'clock), so I had to leave some room for the light to fit flush in the trunk. . Another problem was the connection of the trunk light. The bracket was a little thicker to allow the plug to go in, but I couldn't rotate it to lock it unless I cut off some areas. Finally, the included 3m double-sided foam tape is thicker than the OEM. It's precut to shape, but I cut it into smaller strips and placed them identical to the old OEM headlight foam. This way really worked best for me. Also, the wiring harness connectors are not in the exact same location as the OEM. So if the light doesn't fit, try moving the wire harness closer to the center of the light. You will understand what I mean by comparing your original lamp to this one. Sorry for the long review, just hoping to help others when they encounter the same issues. darkened lens. Still visible and beautiful
