Review on Crane USA Evaporative Humidifier Conversion by Milton Wolf

I bought this Crane evaporative humidifier for my bedroom. I live in a very dry area and would like to be able to increase the humidity when we sleep. I don't like ultrasound machines as they leave a lot of white dust everywhere and I just can't believe breathing all night isn't bad. Anyway, I was really impressed with the design of this humidifier and the reviews were pretty good. The device was packaged well and arrived as promised. It is very easy to set up and use. I like the fact that it has very few parts and is easy to clean. It produces decent humid air and the first night my humidity went from 25% to 50% only at low speed. Unfortunately, the low speed indicator has gone out, but the device continues to operate as air is still escaping and the water level continues to drop. The lights for the two higher speeds work properly. Basically I will be running this at low level and contacted Crane customer support as it was really too new to have this type of issue. They were very quick to respond to my request but stated that they had never experienced this problem before. They ask if I want to just leave the device as it is or if I want to replace it. I just felt like they don't really care about fixing the issue and I'm not sure I won't get another device with the same or worse issue. I've just decided to keep this unit to myself and will run it until it stops working and look for something else
