Handy quick thermometer

I have two uses for this product: home brewing and cooking. So far I've been happy with both features for the last month or so I've been using them. I decided to give the Inkbird a try over other Asian models as they have proven to be reliable, at least in the homebrewing space. Samples and the temperature reaches the temperature in about 2 seconds. High Sensitivity: I can move this thing to multiple places and it shows temperature changes. This is particularly useful for displaying mOpen probe = on, Folded probe = off. No empty batteries. Rechargeable, no need to look for stupid button batteries. What needs improvement: The magnet is weak; Sometimes it slips when a sheet of paper gets in the way, a fridge or other metal surface isn't ideal. What the jury is still saying: I accidentally submerged part of the spinning mechanism with no ill effects. Let's see how it holds up over time. The same applies to the battery life. I've only had to charge it once so far, so at least it's holding up well. Compared to: Lavatools Instant Read - This one uses dumb button cells. The smaller one, which is in this price range, gets hands uncomfortably close to hot things. The larger one is twice the price of this device with a similar feature set. Thermoworks Instant Read - Costs 5 times more than this, yes it's a bit better (e.g. backlit auto-rotating display) but I'm not giving the extra price for the same level of speed and accuracy in temperature reading. do not worry. It will be a 5+ second read, build quality will be questionable, and requires stupid button cells. In conclusion I would say it's worth it.
