Helping my 4.5 year old

My 4.5 year old son doesn't enjoy practicing tracing letters on paper very much. This is a great solution to get him started because he has a lot of fun with it!The pen brings up the little beads as they trace and there are directions on the board about the order in which to trace each letter. When done, the little beads can be pushed back down. The pen attaches to the board when done but it isn't attached permanently with a string so expect to lose it once in awhile. Being attached with a string of some sort may have made it harder for kids to write with so it's not a huge deal. This board is only uppercase letters but there are other companion boards you could get as well. My younger son (1.5) likes to play with this as well and is getting good exposure to letters from it.

Pros

Cons
  • Magnets may pose a danger to individuals with pacemakers or other medical devices
