Review on 🔍 Techamor Y201 Portable Natural Gas Leak Sniffer Detector - Methane Propane Combustible by Charles Adelaja

I bought this detector instead of the standard Home Depot gas detector because it had so many great reviews for the same price. The unit looks very nice but actually has an adjustable sensitivity knob/selector that makes any leak detection quite inaccurate. It kept giving me leak signals around fittings/fittings which made me nervous and uncomfortable. I had to run at least 3-4 other leak detection options (all came back negative) to make sure the accuracy of this unit is terrible and finally found. Even blowing in the direction of the touch sensor (essentially a breath test) will set off an alarm. A pressure gauge test, a foam/soapy water test, a home storage gas leak detector test were all negative. I even submerged the "leaky joints" completely under water and no leaks were found.
