The rubber rim is strong yet flexible and reinforced with criss-cross wire mesh, which the Hyundai filter lacked. This mesh has been removed from the product. I've been buying this Fram filter for years because it gives the impression of better workmanship. Now it looks and feels like any other filter on the market. Because of these changes, Fram loses my allegiance. Docked two stars. Now the filter is "just good".
