I needed more than the one 12v socket my car came with. This double socket was the obvious choice! As always, it's easy to connect and fairly solidly built. I can plug and unplug this device and it doesn't seem to flex much - don't worry about breaking it. There is a built-in fuse holder. So if you use a wire connector with an insulating slot or go straight to the battery, the circuit is protected. I wired an "always hot" connection so I don't have to insert the ignition key to use these two connectors. Great for powering my inverter and fridge while we shop. Now the factory outlet (and switched by the ignition) can be used for devices that normally tolerate power outages. I'm going to attach one of these to my tractor for use with a headlight and spray tank so I don't have to attach electrical clamps directly to the battery terminals. A very useful accessory!
