Our chubby boxer fought the cold as we moved from the desert to the mountains. We had an early cold snap and he refused to go outside. His objections stopped as soon as he put his jacket on. We ordered the XXL as it measures 33.5 inches and fits the chest and neck very well and covers the entire back with a raincoat. The double Velcro straps make it easy to get dressed, even when his four-legged siblings are urging him outside (they all have double coats and love the cold). In general very satisfied! We haven't washed it yet but will update if necessary.
