Supposedly flickering bulbs, but so far 5 out of 25 bulbs have just lit, stayed, then burned out or stayed on and overheated. I need to look for an old brand that I have used in the past.

Just like the Christmas lights I remember seeing as a kid. They heat up to create a true random flicker. I hope they don't get discontinued as I plan on stocking up on extras that might wear out/disrupt each holiday season.

I didn't use all the lights so I had the wrong idea. together it shimmered beautifully. I will release this version as soon as possible to let everyone know that this is a really good product as stated in the description.

I haven't used these new bulbs this year but I tested one and it turned out to be exactly what it should be, a C7 flicker light bulb. I love the random flickering of these old fashioned lightbulbs and the wonderful kaleidoscopic patterns they create on the walls and ceiling when hung on the Christmas tree. It has become difficult or perhaps impossible to find them locally.

So hard to find. Our flickering fairy lights are filled with non-flickering replacements. Finally found it, and all the lights blinked again. Beautiful colors. LED bulbs just don't look the same. They blink when you change your gaze. And indoor incandescent bulbs do not waste energy in winter as they heat your home.

All bulbs were physically intact and functional upon delivery, according to statistics some just don't last, bulbs fail in the bathing curve, and only become top-notch growers cauterize to detect early failures. I turned on all 25, it took about 10 seconds for the first bulb to go out, then another about 30 seconds for the next. A few other bulbs suffered from another pseudo-failure mode where the bimetal was delayed at the breaking point, resulting in a non-flashing half-light condition…

Great replacement bulbs for the flickering C7 stringers. I haven't found any LED models that can actually reproduce the look and effect of flickering incandescent bulbs, although I really wish they existed. Just remember to check your lightbulbs regularly, if they start to go out they can stay on all the time and get very hot. But in reality it is only about the general design of these lamps and not specifically about this brand.
