Having had very good (expensive) Hasting triplets in the past I am very skeptical of using them. Bought for my very picky son who wanted a good magnifying glass for his numismatic hobby. He tried several other loops and gave them up. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something he wouldn't like so we tried this loupe, 10 x 21 Hasting Triplet. The optical quality is actually pretty good and the frame feels solid. I didn't notice any chromatic aberrations and the glass was very clear. We'll see how it performs in day-to-day use, but overall it's a great magnifier.
