We have a door that opens onto a balcony and the wind can blow the door wide open. We needed a doorstop and I got the ones that fit under the door. They work, but it would be nice to have a doorstop that didn't require bending down to put on and take off. This doorstop has a built in mechanism that pushes the stopper to the up position with a foot press. To place it, all you have to do is lower it to the desired position with your foot. It's very well built, with a rubber base and two sets of screws - a nice touch considering some have a wooden door and some, like ours, have a metal door. The processing is really great and the supplied template is perfect. Unfortunately it doesn't work for us. There are two requirements for this doorstop to work properly: 1) be mounted on the side that touches the door frame 2) the floor must be parallel to the door. Rain, this doorstop only works in one specific spot - wherever I want it to be. But we want the door to stop in different places depending on the time of day. Good product, not for our application.
