Strivectin is an exceptional skincare company with innovative products that avid consumers like me usually love. I haven't tried any that I don't like or that don't work as advertised. StriVectin Super-C SPF 30 Daily Sunscreen with Vitamin C to Brighten and Smooth Fine Lines is a decent face cream with great brightening and smoothing ingredients. Like many of their products, it tackles multiple skincare challenges at once, using mostly commendable ingredients that I admire and appreciate. But it has some counter issues that bother my sensitive/allergic skin. WHAT I DON'T LIKE: ** EXTRA SUNSCREEN AND NOT ENOUGH. I prefer sunscreen and never less than 50 SPF. Sunscreen can be irritating and I never wear it at home. When it's added to cream, I have no such choice. Applying different brands of sunscreen will cause skin reactions.** Please do not use FRAGRANCE ADDITIVES. Businesses need to recognize that many people are allergic to fragrances and that fragrances compete with each other and cause more reactions. ** The bad ingredient DIMETHICON traps blemishes and worsens acne/blemishes all in one product instead of giving us the choice. I don't need a moisturizer to combine several different products in one skincare step. The glass is small but designed as an optical illusion, the product is only in the middle, like a target. You don't need a lot of product, so rather than giving the impression that there's more of it than there actually is, why not just pour it into a properly sized container. Some of these problems are seriously related to skin sensitivity and allergies. Others are marketing preferences and one is concern for ingredients. Together they reduce love for an already expensive product. For those who don't have sensitive/allergic skin or don't mind the included SPF and fragrance, this cream is pretty flawless. But I hate having these decisions made for me when it's not necessary. It's like consumer fraud. My concerns have to do with preference, not the effectiveness of a moisturizer.
