Decent diffuser for uneven surfaces

I bought this product mainly because I'm trying to find the perfect solution for installing RGB LED strips, and the traditional aluminum track with a plastic diffuser is always hot has jobs. unless you get 120 leds/m strips (twice as many as the highest density RGB strip bundles). I'd say this at least does a great job in terms of size and cost, and perhaps the 16x16 version (which only projects in one direction) probably does a better job of reducing hotspots. In the photo I'm using this white LED strip: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TTP3YTP/ It certainly looks fantastic in the picture, but unfortunately most of the individual LEDs can still be seen. Still diffuses the light effectively for this particular use case, but was hoping for something more. As mentioned, the larger version of the 16x16 silicone profile can provide a flawless stripe, but the 12x12 only partially. I really wish there was a 16x16 version with a cone the same size as the 12x12. Now the worst: The string is absolutely unusable. The channel for the tape itself barely fits under the LED strip, so there's virtually no tape and cord tied around it through the silicone channel. a substance not known for its slippery properties. I did the same thing as the other reviewer, cutting off the bottom and that's how I got the strip. Although I wish it already had a slot and tool to insert the strip properly without having to hold the slot open by pushing the whole thing inch by inch. The typical piece of plastic covering the tape on the back of the LED strip makes it even more difficult when it's also sticking to the silicone. Definitely poor execution on the part of the manufacturer. Either don't make the strip that narrow if it's wide enough, or find a better way to install the LED strip and skip the strip. I'd rather pull that thread and cut clean at the bottom. Overall I would say I am happy with my purchase as technically it works as advertised for the most part. 4/5 because the installation methods of the strips need to be improved and personally do not deliver perfect LED. Also, they're about the same price as competing aluminum rails, except the 16x16 version is MUCH more expensive. I would consider it expensive overall without much benefit.
