It's very convenient. I bought 4 of these. I use it in my turtle tank, cichlid tank, FLOWR saltwater tank and reef tank. I use small pellets, flakes or large (turtle) pellets. If you set the right size, it will spread perfectly. Not sure why these other reviews can't dose it right? It's almost child's play. Can you find out? If you can't dose it properly, you probably don't deserve to be in the hobby. Good luck with something even less complicated. Depending on the needs of your aquarium, I feed once or twice a day. Battery life (including rechargeable lithium) is as advertised. Can't complain about the basic fish feeder.
