FIRST CHECK: The OD isn't much larger than the hole needed for installation, so you'll need to get a micrometer and an accurate hole saw or else you'll fall into the trap of buying additional parts ("stupid" overlay rings) to attach them so that the unsightly ragged edges of the drywall are not visible. Really, how much extra cost would it take to add a trivial amount of plastic to the outer edge of the fixture, or at least include suction rings in the installation kit (also a trivial amount of plastic). A shame. UPDATE: Kelly from Ensenior Lighting saw this review and immediately realized how uncomfortable I felt. She apologized unequivocally and issued a full refund for the purchase with no strings attached. At her suggestion, I'm updating this review to let buyers know of any potential issues they may encounter. I bought a couple of fancy rings (JSP 5set build, part number LT-OS-5PK-FBA) but the inside diameter was about 1/8" too small, requiring careful mechanical grinding to fit the Senior mount. The OD of these dumb rings was fine and the final installation looks pretty professional. All in all a very pleasant end to an initially disappointing experience.
