A good solid rug is a better alternative to an under sink shelf
We had an under sink faucet that went unnoticed for a while. Water penetrated under the double-layer plastic shelf insert and caused minor damage to the inside of the cabinet. I wish I had known about these rugs sooner. So I fixed the inside of the closet and got one of these. Yes, it's a little pricey, but it's a durable material and it fits right out of the box! No cutting, trimming etc. Love the fact that if another leak occurs this mat will collect water and you will see it sitting on top of the mat. No need for a plastic shelf liner that offers little to no water protection.
