Review on 🐠 Aquatop AP50 Aquarium Air Pump: Superior Performance for Enhanced Aquatic Environment by Sara Hemp

I've only had it for a year and now it's bullshit. It has always been louder than the 10g tetra pump that came with the starter kit and has never been this powerful. I thought ok I'll use it on my 10g betta with sponge filters. At six months it was barely able to pump air but this was my tank of bettas, they still like a little water movement and I figured it would still do for a ten gallon fish. Well, he's completely stopped pumping air. It seems to be working but no air is coming out. It was very accidental that I even noticed. The sponge filter is hidden behind a barrel of bamboo that grows straight out of the water. So I really need to go back there to see it. When I happened to poke around to check the heater, I noticed that no water movement was detected. That's when I discovered that the pump was useless. I have no idea how long this tank has been unfiltered but thank goodness the bettas are hardy and I have a very heavily planted tank. And because of the coronavirus, I can't just go and buy a pump tonight. My fish could have died. I cannot recommend this air pump as my Tetra pump is over ten years old and still works. I really thought it was an upgrade for my Kit Tetra, but it wasn't at all. Louder, less powerful and now dead.
