Cafe Du Monde may be popular with tourists, but it's more than just a place to grab a coffee after a night on Bourbon Street. Orleans Institution. I don't live in New Orleans, but I've had coffee and beignets at Cafe Du Monde any time of the day or night, more than I can count. If you look at this coffee here, you've probably been to the real Café Du Monde. To answer the obvious question, yes, it tastes very similar to the coffee you get at the real Cafe Du Monde. I usually prefer coffee beans that I freshly grind. But the stuff tastes pretty good for canned coffee, probably because of the chicory. I don't drink it every day, but it's a nice change. Now I try to keep a can or two of this coffee in the cupboard in case we inevitably run out of coffee beans. Please note that you must use the jar after opening. I wouldn't leave it open for long after opening it.
